The British are excellent at creating the grand touring car.  Aston Martin, Jaguar and at its core, the Austin Healey 3000.  In truth, this “big Healey” is designed for rally’s far more than a hairpin littered race track.  Its brutish power, stout reliability and cost effective operation made this British Bulldog a very successful choice for Rallies all across Europe. The 1961 Austin Healey 3000’s  2912 cc Inline 6 engine with twin SU Carburetors propel it from 0-60 in 11.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 115 mph.

Perfection is one term to describe this specific Austin Healey 3000.  Every detail, every bolt, every body panel is as it was or better then when it left the factory.  This car definitively qualifies as a Concours restoration.  This restoration job was done by Healey Lane in California, one of the most renowned Austin Healey specialists in the world.  Look under the car and you can hardly find a spot of dirt.  When you open the hood, you cant help but appreciate how neat and tidy the wiring job is.  The green of the engine is very British and appealing helping it stand out.

The two toned paint and the aggressive curves of the car made it a blast to photograph.  The lighting really added depth and contrast to the cars shape and made it come alive.  There are those cars that just photograph well and this was certainly one.
